What Is BetNeptune?
BetNeptune is an online casino and sportsbook with a sea god theme. The casino, live casino and sports sections all sit under one account. You move between them using the tabs at the top of the site.
The brand runs on the ProgressPlay platform. ProgressPlay Limited holds the gambling licence, runs the cashier and supplies the betting technology. As a result, BetNeptune shares much of its setup with other ProgressPlay sites, such as BetReels Casino and Sportsbook.
BetNeptune is not a brand-new site. Its promotional pages date back to late 2020. That said, the welcome offer and game lobby have changed since then. For this review, we checked the current offer and the brand’s published terms.

Is BetNeptune Licensed?
BetNeptune is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority. The licence number is MGA/B2C/231/2012. It is held by ProgressPlay Limited, a company registered in Malta, which runs the site on the brand’s behalf.
ProgressPlay is a white-label provider. In simple terms, it supplies the licence, platform, payments and customer service. The brand owner focuses on the look and the marketing. Many casinos work this way, and it’s why BetNeptune feels similar to its sister sites. These include Ace Lucky Casino, LekkerBets and Africa Sports.
You’ll find the licence details in the footer at the bottom of every page. Checking this is a good habit at any casino, because licences and operators can change over time.
BetNeptune Welcome Package
New players can claim a welcome package worth up to $300 plus 50 free spins. It’s spread across your first three deposits. Each deposit must be at least $10 and made through the casino cashier.
| Deposit | What you get |
|---|---|
| 1st deposit | 25 free spins on Gonzo’s Quest |
| 2nd deposit | 50% bonus up to $100 |
| 3rd deposit | 25% bonus up to $200, plus 25 free spins on Reactoonz |
The first step is a nice low-risk start. Gonzo’s Quest is NetEnt’s well-known adventure slot with tumbling reels. Reactoonz, from Play’n GO, is a colourful grid slot packed with cascading wins.
The match bonuses need bigger deposits to reach their full value. For example, you’d need to deposit $200 on your second deposit to get the full $100. Similarly, the full $200 on your third deposit needs an $800 deposit. So most players will claim less than the headline amount, and that’s fine. Only deposit what you’re comfortable spending.
Key Bonus Terms
| Bonus term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Who can claim | New players only |
| Minimum deposit | $10 per deposit |
| Bonus wagering | 50x the bonus amount, within 30 days |
| Free spin wagering | 50x the free spin winnings, within 7 days |
| Maximum conversion | 3x the bonus amount, or $20 from free spins |
| Game contributions | Vary from game to game |
| Withdrawing early | A withdrawal request cancels all active and pending bonuses |
What 50x Wagering Looks Like
Wagering tells you how much you must bet before bonus money becomes cash. At BetNeptune, the figure is 50 times the bonus. For example, the full $100 second deposit bonus means $5,000 in total bets. That’s on the high side compared with many casinos today.
There’s also a cap on what you can keep. Once you finish wagering, bonus money converts to cash up to three times the bonus. So that $100 bonus can turn into no more than $300. Free spin winnings stop at $20 for each batch of spins.
Not every game counts equally, either. Slots usually count in full. In contrast, BetNeptune’s general terms say blackjack, baccarat, roulette, poker tables and jackpot games count at just 10%. Video poker counts at 5%. Some slots don’t count at all, such as Koi Princess, Reel Rush 2 and Big Bad Wolf.
There are two more points to know. First, older versions of BetNeptune’s terms excluded Skrill deposits from bonuses, so check the cashier before using Skrill. Second, one player can claim up to five registration bonuses across the whole ProgressPlay network. If you already play at sister sites, you may not qualify.
Topboss Group tip: with 50x wagering and a $20 cap on free spin winnings, treat the spins as a free tour of the site. Don’t count on them to build a big balance.
If you’re new to casino offers, our guide to accepting online casino bonuses explains these terms in more detail.
Sports Free Bet
Sports fans aren’t left out. BetNeptune’s own sports promotion page has advertised a “Bet $10, Get $10 Free Bet” deal. You place a $10 bet at odds of 1.5 or higher. In return, you get a $10 free bet.
The free bet stake isn’t returned with your winnings. In addition, you can only claim one sports welcome bonus across the ProgressPlay network. Check the promotions area for the current sports offer before you bet, since these deals change regularly.
Rewards Programme
BetNeptune also runs a rewards programme for regular players. You’ll find it linked in the site footer. The details can change, so check the page itself to see what’s on offer before you rely on it.
How to Join BetNeptune
Signing up only takes a few minutes. Here’s how it works:
- Click “Join now” at the top of the site.
- Enter your details exactly as they appear on your ID.
- Activate your account using the link sent to your email.
- Choose your currency and deposit at least $10 through the cashier.
- Your 25 free spins on Gonzo’s Quest are then added to your bonus balance.
You can only have one account at BetNeptune. Opening a second one can lead to both being closed and any bonus winnings being removed.
Casino Games at BetNeptune
Slots are the main attraction here. The “New” section of the lobby gets regular updates. When we checked, it featured titles such as Le Vampire, Gates of Olympus Pop, Amazing Link Pegasus and Stormfire. Fun picks like Dr Zappo, Forever Split Megaways, Wheel of Porkies and Chicago Gold 2 sat alongside them.
Finding games is simple. A search bar at the top lets you look up a game or a provider by name. This helps because the lobby is large and new titles arrive often.
Live Casino
BetNeptune has a separate Live tab for real dealer games. Here you can play table games streamed from a studio, with a human dealer running each round. Live games also count at a reduced rate towards bonus wagering. So it’s usually best to play them with real money rather than bonus funds.
Sports Betting at BetNeptune
The Sports tab sits right next to the casino. It uses the same balance, so you don’t need to move money between wallets. This makes BetNeptune handy if you enjoy both slots and sports.
The terms confirm that you can bet before a match and in play. Cash out is also offered on selected bets. However, BetNeptune decides which bets get it, and it can be switched off at any time. Winning bets are paid within 72 hours of the result being published.
Deposits and Withdrawals
BetNeptune uses the shared ProgressPlay cashier. The minimum deposit is $10. The methods on offer depend on your country and currency. The table below shows the main options named in BetNeptune’s published terms.
| Method | Deposits | Withdrawals |
|---|---|---|
| Credit and debit cards | Yes | Yes, subject to card issuer limits |
| Bank transfer | Yes | Yes |
| Trustly | Yes | Yes |
| Neteller | Yes | Yes |
| Skrill | Yes | Only after a previous Skrill deposit |
| Paysafecard | Yes | Yes |
| PayViaPhone | Yes (15% fee) | No |
The terms also mention several regional services, such as Zimpler and Sofort. A few names on that list, including Giropay, have since closed down altogether. So treat the cashier as the final word on what’s available to you.
How Withdrawals Work
Withdrawals go back to the method you used to deposit. If that isn’t possible, BetNeptune will pay you another way. Each request stays “Pending” for three business days. During that time, you can cancel it. After that, it moves to “Processing” and can no longer be reversed.
Keep these points in mind before you cash out:
- The terms list a processing fee of $2.50 per withdrawal.
- Withdrawals are capped at $3,000 a week and $6,000 a month.
- Progressive jackpot wins are paid out in full, without the cap.
- Withdrawing while a bonus is active cancels that bonus.
The weekly and monthly caps mostly affect bigger winners. Even so, it’s worth knowing about them before you chase a large win.
Account Verification
BetNeptune may ask you to prove who you are before your first withdrawal. You’ll usually need a passport, driver’s licence or national ID card. A recent utility bill or bank statement works as proof of address.
If you paid by card, you may also need a photo of both sides of it. Cover the middle eight digits and the security code on the back before sending it. Uploading these documents early saves time when you want to cash out.
Inactive Accounts
Leaving money in an unused account can cost you. If you don’t log in for 12 months, your account is marked inactive. BetNeptune can then charge an admin fee of €5 a month, but it must warn you 30 days beforehand. The fee can never be more than your balance.
After 30 months without a login, the account becomes dormant. At that point, the remaining balance is returned to you. Logging in once a year avoids all of this.
Currencies and Restricted Countries
BetNeptune accepts US dollars, as well as euros and pounds. Your account stays in the currency you choose at sign up. This review uses dollar amounts throughout.
Players from a long list of countries can’t join. The restricted list in the terms covers Australia, Belgium, Belize, the British Virgin Islands, Bulgaria and Croatia. It also includes Cyprus, Denmark, France, Greece, Hungary, Israel and Italy. On top of that, players from Lithuania, Luxembourg, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey and the USA are blocked.
BetNeptune can add more countries whenever it chooses. So before signing up anywhere, check the gambling regulations in your country.
Customer Support
You can reach BetNeptune by live chat or email. The support address is customersupport@instantgamesupport.com. This shared ProgressPlay address handles account questions, game history requests and account closures.
Complaints have their own address, complaints@instantgamesupport.com. Write down the date, the game or bet involved, and any screenshots you have. Clear details make a complaint much easier to resolve.
Responsible Gambling Tools
BetNeptune offers a solid set of safer gambling tools. You can set limits on:
- How much you deposit
- How much you bet
- How much you lose
- How long each session lasts
Lowering a limit works straight away. Raising one takes seven days. This cooling-off gap gives you time to think twice.
You can also turn on reality checks. These pause your game after a set time and remind you how long you’ve been playing.
For a longer break, you can self-exclude for a set period or for good. Importantly, self-exclusion covers every site run by ProgressPlay, not just BetNeptune. Our tips for playing at online casinos also cover simple ways to keep gambling fun.
BetNeptune Pros and Cons

- Low $10 minimum deposit
- 50 free spins on Gonzo’s Quest and Reactoonz
- Regularly updated slot lobby with search by game or provider
- Good safer gambling tools, including reality checks
Cons
- 50x wagering on the welcome bonus is high
- Match bonuses of only 50% and 25%
- Free spin winnings capped at $20
- $2.50 withdrawal fee listed in the terms
- Not available in the USA, Australia or much of Europe
BetNeptune vs Neptune Play
Search for BetNeptune and you’ll often see results for Neptune Play. The names are similar, but they’re not the same site. Neptune Play is a different brand from a different company, with no link to ProgressPlay.
This matters when you read reviews or complaints online. A problem reported at Neptune Play has nothing to do with BetNeptune. So always check the web address. BetNeptune lives at betneptune.com.
Our Verdict on BetNeptune
The biggest plus is convenience. You get slots, live dealers and sports betting from a single dollar balance. The ProgressPlay platform behind it is also used by many other casino brands, so the cashier and account tools work smoothly.
The main drawbacks are in the small print. The bonus terms are tough, and the withdrawal fee and pending period aren’t ideal. If low wagering matters most to you, compare BetNeptune with SpinHub Casino or 7Bit Casino before deciding.
