The regulator’s July 2026 register lists TechSolutions’ licence as OGL/2024/590/0758. Its status reads “assessment in progress”. In plain English, 22Bet can keep trading while the regulator finishes its review. It is not yet shown as a fully granted licence.

22Bet also says it holds a Kahnawake licence. In addition, it runs local sites in some African countries, such as Kenya, Nigeria and Uganda. Those local sites use their own local licences. We could not confirm the Kahnawake licence on the regulator’s public list. For now, treat it as the operator’s own claim.

A Curaçao licence gives some oversight. Still, it offers fewer player protections than the UK or Malta regulators.

There is also some public criticism to be aware of. In late 2025, a Curaçao news site published an investigator’s report on the wider business behind 22Bet. It claimed the brand had targeted players in countries that require a local licence. These are claims, not regulator findings. Still, it is a good reason to check your own local laws before you sign up.

What Happened to 22Bet in the UK?

For a while, British players could use a separate site called 22bet.co.uk. TonyBet ran it as a white label under its own UK licence. That arrangement has now ended.

Today, visitors to the old UK address see a notice. It says 22Bet no longer provides services in their region. The UK Gambling Commission register also lists TonyBet’s remaining UK domains as inactive. As a result, UK residents cannot legally open a 22Bet account.
