Ghost Glyph Slot Overview
Ghost Glyph is a colourful Halloween slot from Quickspin. It takes you to an old haunted house, where a family of friendly ghosts lives under the grounds. Each ghost has its own special ability, and they all want to help you win.
This isn’t a classic payline slot. Instead, Ghost Glyph uses a 7×7 grid with cluster pays and tumbling symbols. Winning clusters vanish, new symbols drop in, and magical Ghost Glyphs appear in the gaps. Those glyphs unlock urn features that add wilds, remove symbols or open the bonus game.

Theme and Graphics
Ghost Glyph is spooky, but in a sweet way. The ghosts are cute and cartoonish rather than scary, and the colours are bright against the dark haunted house. Quickspin describes it as a spooky experience with a splash of colour, and that sums it up well.
According to Quickspin’s producer, the team picked these ghosts from about 50 early designs. The blue and green ghosts were instant favourites, and the rest of the game grew around them. You can feel that care in the animations, which bring each ghost to life when its feature kicks in.
The soundtrack is gentle and atmospheric too. As a result, it’s an easy game to settle into for a long session. If you’d like something darker, try Play’n GO’s House of Doom instead.
How Cluster Pays and Tumbles Work
Ghost Glyph doesn’t use paylines. Instead, you win by landing clusters of matching symbols that touch each other on the grid. This is often called cluster pays.
When you land a winning cluster, those symbols are removed. New symbols then fall from above to fill the gaps. If they create another win, the process repeats. Quickspin calls this the Tumble Mechanic, and it works in both the base game and the bonus game.
Tumbling only stops when no new winning clusters appear. So, a single spin can bring several wins in a row. Every win from the tumbles is added to your total for that spin.
Betting, RTP and Volatility
Quickspin’s game sheet lists the bet range as €0.20 to €100 per spin. That makes Ghost Glyph suitable for small budgets and bigger players alike. The default bet is €1.
The RTP is 96.18%, which is in line with most modern slots. Quickspin’s game sheet also shows where that return comes from. Quickspin describes the volatility as medium. Its website gives a base game hit rate of 31%, while the game sheet says 33%. Either way, roughly one spin in three lands a win. The top win is 2,260x your bet, which Quickspin’s sheet says is extremely rare.

Regular Symbols
The grid is filled with a mix of low-paying and high-paying symbols. The low-paying symbols matter a lot here, because two of the urn features target them directly. Removing or changing them makes it easier to build big clusters of premium symbols.
Wild Symbol
The wild stands in for regular symbols to help complete clusters. Wilds can also be spread across the grid by the Yellow Ghost Urn, as we explain below.
Ghost Glyph
The Ghost Glyph is the heart of the game. After a winning cluster is removed, and before the next tumble, a Ghost Glyph appears in one of the empty spaces. Only one can appear per tumble.
The Ghost Glyph counts as a wild. When it’s used as part of a win, it activates one of the Ghost Urns. That’s how you unlock the game’s special features.
The Ghost Urn Features
Before every spin, five Ghost Urns are lined up. The first four are chosen at random from Yellow, Green and Red. The fifth urn is always Blue. Urns activate from left to right, one for each Ghost Glyph used in a win.
When a tumble ends with no new win, any activated urns are awarded in order. Here’s what each one does:

Because the Blue urn is always last, you need five Ghost Glyphs in one spin to reach the free spins. That makes it a rare and exciting moment. In addition, when the Blue urn activates, any unused Ghost Glyphs turn into wilds.
Free Spins and the Massive Wild
The bonus game takes place inside the haunted mansion. Tumbles and Ghost Glyphs keep working here, and the Blue urn can add 3 or more extra free spins. As a result, a strong bonus round can keep going for a while.
There’s also a Paranormality Meter, which fills up as you play. It has 22 levels. If the meter reaches Level 1 or higher by the end of the free spins, the Massive Wild feature begins.
The Massive Wild is an oversized wild symbol, and the feature has 22 levels to match the meter. If the meter ends below Level 3, Massive Wilds are removed once they’re part of a win. According to Quickspin, this final feature is there to make sure you don’t leave the bonus empty-handed.

What We Corrected in This Review
Our earlier review had a couple of details that don’t match Quickspin’s description. Here’s what changed:
- The urns: we used to say the game had four urns and a separate fifth urn for free spins. In fact, five urns are chosen each spin, and the fifth is always the Blue urn.
- Free spins: the old review said the bonus started with 8 free spins. Quickspin doesn’t state a number, so we’ve removed it.
- Volatility: we previously described it as medium to high. Quickspin calls it medium.
