Diamond Hill Slot Overview
Diamond Hill is a magical gem slot from Tom Horn Gaming. Tom Horn released it worldwide on 19 November 2019. The studio says it takes you across an enchanted kingdom and its ancient woodlands. Along the way, magical ingredients spark winning streaks.
The game plays on 5 reels with 36 paylines. Tom Horn describes it as high volatility, with a 96% RTP. It still appears in Tom Horn’s games list, and the studio has called it one of its classics.
There are two main features. Wilds on reels 1 and 5 become random multipliers of up to 9x. Any win that includes a wild also triggers a respin, with the winning symbols locked in place.

Theme and Design
Diamond Hill is set in an enchanted kingdom. The background is a light, almost see-through blue. Our original review said it gives you the feeling of being inside a diamond.
The reels are filled with eight types of sparkling gems. One of them transforms into the multiplier wild. The look is clean and bright, and it works well on a phone screen.
Paylines, Betting and RTP
Diamond Hill has 36 paylines across 5 reels. Tom Horn says the lines criss-cross the reels, which helps create plenty of winning combinations.
Tom Horn lists the RTP at 96%, which matches our original review. That’s right around the online average. The game is rated as high volatility, so expect some quiet spells.
Our original review listed a bet range of $0.50 to $100 per spin. It also gave a maximum win of 200x your bet, which is modest for a high volatility game. Check the help screen at your casino for the exact limits.
Diamond Hill Symbols
Diamond Hill keeps things simple. The reels show eight types of diamonds and gems, each in a different colour and shape. One of these becomes the wild, which can carry a multiplier.
There are no card symbols or complex extras. That makes the paytable easy to understand, even for beginners.
Diamond Hill Bonus Features
Tom Horn highlights two features: multiplier wilds and a respin feature.
Multiplier Wilds
Wilds that land on reels 1 and 5 turn into random multipliers. Our original review said each multiplier is between 1x and 9x.
Any payline that includes one of these wilds has its win multiplied. A 9x wild on a strong line can turn an ordinary win into a much bigger one.
Respin Feature
Any winning combination that includes a wild triggers a respin. The winning symbols lock in place, and the other symbols spin again.
If the respin creates a new win, it pays out and the new symbols also lock. That can lead to a chain of respins, building up wins as you go.
How to Play Diamond Hill
- Check the help screen: confirm the RTP and bet range at your casino.
- Set your stake: choose a bet that suits a high volatility game.
- Spin the reels: wins pay along 36 paylines.
- Watch reels 1 and 5: wilds there become random multipliers.
- Enjoy the respins: any win with a wild locks symbols and spins again.
Who Is Diamond Hill Best For?
Diamond Hill suits players who like simple, sparkly slots with a bit of risk. There are no free spins to wait for. Instead, the action comes from the wilds and respins in the base game.
It’s a good fit if you:
- Like gem-themed slots: clean, bright and easy to follow.
- Enjoy base game features: no need to wait for a bonus round.
- Accept high volatility: wins can be spread out.
If you’re chasing huge top wins, the 200x maximum in our original review may feel low.
About Tom Horn Gaming
Tom Horn Gaming is a slot studio that supplies its games to online casinos in many markets. Its blog describes Diamond Hill as one of its classic games, alongside titles like Joker Reelz and 243 Crystal Fruits. Our Tom Horn Gaming page covers more of its slots.
Where to Play Diamond Hill
Our original review named Slottica Casino NZ as a place to find Diamond Hill. Casino offers change often, so check the current welcome bonus on the casino’s own site. Game lobbies also change, so search for Diamond Hill before you deposit.
Playing on Mobile
Our original review said Diamond Hill works on mobile devices. It should run in your phone’s browser at casinos that carry Tom Horn games.
What We Changed in This Review
- Verified details: we’ve confirmed the release date, 36 lines, 96% RTP and high volatility with Tom Horn Gaming.
- Bonus offer: we’ve removed an old Slottica bonus figure that we couldn’t confirm.
- Figures from our original review: the bet range, max win and multiplier range are marked as such.
Tips for Playing Diamond Hill
- Watch reels 1 and 5: that’s where the multiplier wilds land.
- Enjoy the respins: any win with a wild locks symbols and spins again.
- Pick a steady stake: high volatility means wins can be spread out.
- Remember the top win: at 200x in our original review, big bets won’t raise the ceiling.
- Set a budget: decide how much you’ll spend before you start.
Understanding High Volatility
Volatility describes how a slot pays out. High volatility slots pay less often, but the wins can be bigger when they land.
Diamond Hill is unusual. Tom Horn rates it as high volatility, but our original review listed a modest top win of 200x. That means quiet spells are likely, without the huge wins some high volatility games offer. The multiplier wilds are what make the bigger wins possible.
Diamond Hill vs Other Gem Slots
Gem slots are a popular style, with bright colours and simple symbols. Diamond Hill stands out with two features working together. The multiplier wilds boost wins, and the respins give you a second chance on the same spin.
| Feature | Diamond Hill |
|---|---|
| Paylines | 36 |
| Wild multipliers | 1x to 9x on reels 1 and 5 |
| Respins | After any win with a wild |
| Free spins | None |
| RTP | 96% (Tom Horn) |
If you prefer gem slots with free spins, you may want a different game. But if you like quick base game action, Diamond Hill delivers.
Who Should Skip Diamond Hill?
If you love free spins rounds, Diamond Hill may not be for you. It has no free spins at all. Players who want huge top wins may also prefer a game with a bigger maximum payout.
Understanding the 96% RTP
Tom Horn lists Diamond Hill’s RTP at 96%. That means that over a very long time, the game pays back about 96% of all bets. Results in any one session can be very different. A 96% RTP is right around the online average, so it’s a fair figure for a slot of this type.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Multiplier wilds up to 9x
- Respins after any win with a wild
- Solid 96% RTP
- Clean, simple design
Cons
- Low max win of 200x in our original review
- High volatility
- No free spins round
- Few symbols and features
Our Verdict
Diamond Hill is a bright, simple gem slot with a couple of clever features. The multiplier wilds and respins keep the base game exciting, and the 96% RTP is solid. The top win is modest for a high volatility game, though. If you enjoy sparkling slots with quick action, it’s worth a try.
