Club Gold Casino Review: Blacklisted
Why we blacklisted Club Gold, a warning about lookalike sites, and safer casinos to try
Club Gold Casino Is Blacklisted
Topboss Group has blacklisted Club Gold Casino. We do not recommend registering, depositing or claiming any bonus there, or at any website using the Club Gold name. You will find safer alternatives further down this page.
Club Gold Casino first opened in 2011. It became known as one of the very first casinos to use games from Habanero, which was a little-known studio at the time. With its gold-and-glamour styling, the casino promised a touch of Las Vegas from home.
Since then, however, the picture has changed. Club Gold now appears on independent casino blacklists, and players have reported problems with withheld winnings. On top of that, several lookalike websites now use the Club Gold name. For these reasons, we have replaced our older, positive review with this warning page.

Why We Have Blacklisted Club Gold Casino
Blacklisting a casino is a serious step, and we only do it with good reason. For Club Gold, several concerns have come together over time.
Listed on Independent Blacklists
Club Gold Casino has been placed on independent casino blacklists. Casino Bonus Center, for example, lists Club Gold as blacklisted. It points to unresolved complaints, policy concerns and operational issues found during its monitoring.
When independent watchdog sites flag the same casino, it is a strong warning sign. It suggests problems that go beyond one or two unlucky players.
Complaints About Withheld Winnings
Complaint-tracking site Casino Guru has recorded player complaints about Club Gold. Notably, it flagged a high value of withheld winnings compared with the size of the casino.
Older complaints also exist. For instance, a player on the LCB forum reported that their account was closed while they waited for a payout. In that case, the casino said it needed verification documents, and the issue was later marked as resolved. Even so, disputes over payouts have followed the casino for many years.
Topboss Group view: a casino’s main job is to pay winners fairly and on time. When that is repeatedly in doubt, no bonus or game library can make up for it.
Lookalike Websites
This is perhaps the most important point for players today. Several websites now use the Club Gold Casino name and branding. Some of them claim to offer Habanero games, welcome bonuses and fast payouts, often aimed at players in specific countries.
We could not confirm that any of these sites is connected to the original Club Gold Casino. As a result, we treat all of them with great caution. A website that borrows the name of a blacklisted casino is not a safe place to deposit money.
Signs You May Be on a Lookalike Site
Lookalike casinos can be very convincing. They often copy logos, colours and game names from the original brand. Watch out for these warning signs:
- A different web address: extra words, unusual endings or misspellings in the domain name.
- Vague licence details: claims of being “licensed” or “regulated” with no licence number or regulator named.
- Too-good-to-be-true offers: huge bonuses with very few terms attached.
- Generic or repetitive text: pages that read like they were written quickly, with little real detail.
- No company name: no clear operator, address or contact details in the footer.
If a site shows several of these signs, it is best to walk away. There are plenty of genuine, licensed casinos that make their details easy to check.
What We Can and Can’t Verify
We always try to be clear about the limits of what we know. Here is where things stand for Club Gold Casino:
- Blacklisting: confirmed on independent review sites, including Casino Bonus Center.
- Complaints: player complaints about withheld winnings have been recorded by complaint-tracking sites.
- Licence: the casino claimed a Curaçao licence, but we could not confirm it on a regulator’s register.
- Closure: at least one casino directory lists Club Gold as closed. We could not confirm this with the original operator.
- Current sites: we could not link any of the websites now using the Club Gold name to the original casino.
Our older review described Club Gold as a “superior” casino voted highly by players and critics. That description is out of date, so we have removed it.
What Club Gold Casino Used to Offer
For reference, here is a short summary of what Club Gold offered while it was running.
The casino switched its games to the Hawk Game Suite from Habanero. At the time, this gave players access to slots that few other casinos carried. Popular titles included Zeus, Queen of Queens, Monster Mash Cash, Pucker Up Prince and Great Escape. There were also table games such as blackjack, roulette and baccarat, along with video poker.
Club Gold also advertised a range of deposit bonuses and promotions. Some reviews list a first deposit bonus of 100% up to €1,000, followed by further deposit offers.
| Feature | What Club Gold advertised |
|---|---|
| Software | Habanero only |
| Slots | Zeus, Queen of Queens, Monster Mash Cash, Pucker Up Prince, Great Escape |
| Table games | Blackjack, roulette, baccarat, video poker |
| Welcome offer | Reported as 100% up to €1,000 on the first deposit |
| Play options | Instant play in the browser and on mobile |
About Habanero
It is worth being clear that the concerns on this page are about the casino, not the games studio. Habanero is a well-established games developer that supplies many licensed casinos today. Its slots are known for colourful designs and smooth mobile play. In fact, Club Gold was one of the first casinos to bring Habanero games to a wider audience.
If you enjoy Habanero games, you can still play them safely at properly licensed casinos. Read more in our Habanero provider guide, or try one of its festive favourites in our Santa’s Village slot review.
If You Have Money at Club Gold Casino
If you still have a balance or a pending withdrawal at Club Gold, getting your money back may not be easy. Unfortunately, blacklisted casinos rarely respond quickly to players. Even so, these steps are worth taking.
- Don’t deposit again: adding more money rarely helps unlock a payout.
- Gather evidence: keep screenshots of your balance, emails, chats and transactions.
- Speak to your bank: your card issuer or payment provider may be able to help.
- Try a complaint service: some independent player-protection sites run free complaint services.
- Secure your accounts: change any password you used at the casino.

How to Spot an Unsafe Casino
Club Gold is not the only casino to end up on a blacklist. For example, our page on Euro Moon Casino explains another case. Thankfully, a few simple checks can help you avoid trouble.
First, check who licenses the casino. A licence from a strong regulator, such as the UK Gambling Commission, gives players far more protection. Our guide to global gambling regulations explains the main licensing bodies.
Next, make sure you are on the real website. Lookalike sites often copy the name and logo of a known casino. Finally, read independent reviews and complaint records before you deposit. Our article on why unregulated casinos need reputable reviews covers this in more detail.
Safer Alternatives to Club Gold Casino
If you were drawn to Club Gold, there are much better places to play today. These casinos are active and have been reviewed by our team.
21Prive Casino offers a stylish, premium feel with a large choice of slots and live games. Alternatively, 7Bit Casino is a good fit if you like to play with cryptocurrency. Finally, SpinHub brings a modern casino with plenty of slots and table games.
Before signing up, check that the casino accepts players from your country. It is also worth reading the latest bonus terms on the casino’s own website. To learn more about how we choose casinos, see why you can trust Topboss Group.
