Tomb Raider Remains Microgaming’s Best Slot

Tomb Raider Slot Review

The Tomb Raider Brand has had a successful run, originally starting out as a PC Game, then coming to life on the big screen and finally a realm of worldwide online slot games.

This Video slot by Microgaming features 5 reels and 15 paylines and Lara Croft is still the main feature as she was previously in its cinematic counterpart.

Tomb Raider is one of Microgaming’s first slot titles which is evident in its dated graphics and sounds which they have since upgraded with the sequel, Tomb Raider II Secret of the Sword.

This female version of Indiana Jones is fearless and crafty. This mobile slot however takes minimal features from its main characters features but offers a Pick and Win game and a Free Spins Bonus Round.

Be on the lookout for 3 Special Symbols, those being Lara Croft, the Idol and the Games Logo as we embark on a journey with Lara Croft and unearth Hidden Treasures.

Betting Range and RTP worth the Find:

This Tomb Raider online slot allows you to play between 1 and 5 coins per line, the coin values range from a minimum of $0.05 to a maximum of $2 depending on your preference also has an above-the-threshold RTP of 96.56%.

Tomb Raider Wild Symbol:

The Wild Symbol is the game logo itself and will substitute all symbols except Scatters, it also allows you to double your winnings.

Tomb Raider Scatter:

Lara Croft is the games Scatter Symbol, finding 3 or more of these Scatters will trigger the Free Spins feature.

Unearth the Free Spins:

As previously mentioned, Lara Croft herself is the Scatter Symbol and acts as a Multiplier from any winnings on an activated payline. This is multiplied by the number of Scatter Symbols wherever they fall. Should you get 3 or more Scatters you will receive your hidden treasure in the form of 10 Free Spins and triple your winnings. These spins can also retrigger over and over.

The Ultimate Treasure:

Go back to the Tomb Raider Video game and you will recall how important the Idols were, this is no different in the slot’s version. Three or more of the Idol Symbols will trigger the games main Bonus Feature.

This Bonus feature is what is known as a Pick Style Bonus round, you get to choose from 12 idols presented to you on the screen and behind each Idol is a prize.

The value of the prizes is determined by the number of bonus symbols triggered in that round from three to five respectively.

Lara’s Bonus & Jackpot:

When you line up 5 of the Lara Croft Wild symbols you will win 7500x return which is the biggest jackpot in the game and this is not an easy feat as it is the ultimate treasure, so it will take a lot of planning and perseverance.

The Idols will pay up to 2500x for a winning line, quite a nice win for lining up 5 of the regular pay symbols.

There’s no Progressive Jackpot but there are both multiplayer and mobile versions of this slot available should you want to shake things up a little.

A Rewarding Excursion:

Although a simple slot game it has a generous paytable and more than enough to keep your interest peaked. I enjoyed its simplicity as well as the frequency of wins and the Free Spins. The jackpot is lower than slots but the high percentage payout makes up for that.

Pack your bags and join Lara Croft as she hunts for hidden treasures!
