Age of the Gods: Fate Sisters Overview
Fate Sisters is a Greek mythology slot from Playtech, part of the Age of the Gods series. It tells the story of the Moirai, or Fates. In Greek myth, these three sisters controlled the thread of every human life.
Clotho spun the thread of life. Lachesis measured its length. Atropos cut the thread, ending a life. In the myths, even the gods had to respect their decisions.
The game plays on 5 reels with 25 fixed paylines. It has four different reel sets, one for the base game and one for each sister’s temple. You choose which temple to visit in the free spins. The four Age of the Gods jackpots sit on top.

Theme and Design
Fate Sisters has four different backdrops and reel sets. There’s a temple for the base game, and each sister has her own temple for the free spins. That gives the game more visual variety than most slots.
The three sisters are the high-paying symbols. Card royals from 9 to Ace make up the lower-paying symbols. The wild is a gold symbol showing all three sisters together.
Paylines, RTP and Volatility
Fate Sisters uses 25 fixed paylines, so every line is always in play. Our original review rated the game as medium volatility.
It gave the RTP as 92.95%. That’s low compared with standard slots, because part of each bet funds the linked jackpots. Playtech games can also come in more than one RTP setting, so check the help screen at your casino.
Fate Sisters Symbols
Here’s how the symbols break down in our original review:
- Wild: a gold symbol with the three sisters, replacing all symbols except the scatter.
- Scatter: a mystical blue portal set into the bark of a tree.
- Lachesis, Clotho and Atropos: the high-paying symbols.
- A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9: the lower-paying card royals.
Portal Free Spins
Land three or more portal scatters anywhere on the reels to trigger the free spins. You then choose one of three temples. Each one plays differently:
| Temple | Free spins | Special feature | Extra spins |
|---|---|---|---|
| Atropos | 15 | Dynamic wilds with 2x to 5x multipliers | Atropos on reel 3 adds 3 more |
| Lachesis | 10 | Wilds lock in place for 3 spins | Lachesis on reel 3 adds 3 more |
| Clotho | 8 | 3 random wilds on every spin | Clotho on reel 3 adds 3 more |
The Atropos temple gives the most spins, with multiplier wilds. The Clotho temple gives fewer spins but adds three random wilds every time. It’s a nice way to pick the style that suits you.
Sister Respin
Our original review described a free respin in the base game. It triggers when Lachesis lands on reel 1, and Clotho lands on reels 3 and 5.
The sisters then stay frozen in place and act as scatters while the other reels spin again. That gives you an extra chance to win, or even reach the free spins.
Age of the Gods Jackpots
Like every game in the series, Fate Sisters is linked to four progressive jackpots. They’re called Power, Extra Power, Super Power and Ultimate Power.
The jackpot game can trigger at random on any spin. Our original review said bigger bets raise your chances. When it triggers, you’ll see a grid of 20 coins. Pick coins until you find three matching jackpot symbols, and you win that jackpot.
How to Play Fate Sisters
- Check the help screen: look at the RTP, bet limits and jackpot rules.
- Set your stake: remember that bigger bets may raise your jackpot chances.
- Spin the reels: wins pay along 25 fixed lines.
- Find three portals: this starts the free spins.
- Pick a temple: choose the sister whose feature suits you best.
Who Is Fate Sisters Best For?
Fate Sisters suits players who enjoy choosing their own bonus. The three temples give you real control over how the free spins play out.
It’s a good fit if you:
- Love Greek mythology: the story of the Fates is unusual and interesting.
- Like bonus choice: three very different free spins modes.
- Want jackpot chances: the Age of the Gods jackpots can be huge.
If you want a high base game RTP, a non-jackpot slot may suit you better.
Which Temple Should You Choose?
There’s no right answer. Each temple simply feels different to play:
- Atropos: the most spins, with multiplier wilds. A good all-round choice.
- Lachesis: locking wilds can build up strong wins over several spins.
- Clotho: the fewest spins, but three random wilds every time.
Try each one over a few sessions to see which you enjoy most.
Playing on Mobile
Fate Sisters can be played on mobile at casinos that offer Playtech games. It runs in your phone’s browser, and the temple backdrops still look good on a smaller screen.
What We Changed in This Review
- Status note: we’ve added a note that Playtech doesn’t publish individual game pages.
- Series facts: we’ve linked the game to the wider Age of the Gods series and its jackpots.
- Figures: we’ve marked the RTP, paytable and free spins details as coming from our original review.
Tips for Playing Fate Sisters
- Pick the temple that suits you: more spins, locking wilds or random wilds.
- Watch for the sister respin: Lachesis on reel 1 and Clotho on reels 3 and 5 trigger it.
- Check the jackpot values: they’re shown in the game and change all the time.
- Remember the RTP: at 92.95% in our original review, it’s below average.
- Set a budget: decide how much you’ll spend before you start.
The Age of the Gods Series
Fate Sisters is one of many games in Playtech’s Age of the Gods series. Each game has its own Greek myth, but they all share the same four jackpots. That means every spin on any game helps build the prize pool.
Playtech launched the series in 2016, and it has grown into one of its biggest brands. If you enjoy Fate Sisters, there are plenty more gods and heroes to discover.
Who Should Skip Fate Sisters?
If you want a high RTP, Fate Sisters may not be the best choice. Its 92.95% RTP in our original review reflects the jackpot funding. Players who aren’t interested in jackpots may prefer a standard slot with a higher return. Many non-jackpot slots offer an RTP of 96% or more.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Choice of three different free spins temples
- Base game sister respin feature
- Four linked Age of the Gods jackpots
- Interesting mythological story
Cons
- Low RTP of 92.95% in our original review
- Jackpots aren’t offered everywhere
- RTP not published by Playtech
- Some features are hard to trigger
Our Verdict
Fate Sisters is a thoughtful addition to the Age of the Gods series. The three temples give you real choice in the free spins. Meanwhile, the sister respin adds interest to the base game. The RTP is on the low side, which is normal for jackpot slots. If you enjoy Greek myths and big jackpots, let the Fates decide.
