About Apollo Games

Apollo Games is a slot developer from the Czech Republic. The company behind it, Apollo Soft, was founded in 2007. It started out making slot machines and video lottery terminals (VLTs) for land-based venues, and it still does. Since 2015, however, it has also made games for online casinos.

Today, Apollo offers around 95 online games, from classic fruit slots to horror, adventure and dice-themed titles. It also builds its own slot cabinets for land-based venues. Apollo’s games are strongest in Central Europe and parts of Africa. It names Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Kenya and Uganda as key markets.

In this guide, we look at Apollo’s history, its licences, its most popular slots and what players should know before trying them. We checked every fact on this page against Apollo Games’ own website in October 2026.

Here are the key moments from Apollo’s own timeline.

Apollo says it plans to grow further in Africa and to enter Asian markets next.

Licences and Certification

Apollo’s Maltese company, Apollo Soft Ltd, holds a business-to-business licence from the Malta Gaming Authority. The licence number is MGA/CRP/523/2018, and it was issued on 29 March 2019. This allows Apollo to supply its games to licensed casinos.

Apollo’s website also shows regulator logos from Malta, Slovenia, Romania, the Czech Republic and Greece. Each game page lists the countries where that title is certified. These vary from game to game. For example, some titles are certified only for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, while others cover several more markets.

In addition, Apollo holds a GLI-11 certificate from Gaming Laboratories International. GLI-11 is a widely used standard for testing slot games. The company also holds ISO 27001 certification, which covers how it protects data. To learn more about how these licences work, read our guide to online gambling licences.

Apollo Games Slots

Apollo’s online library includes around 95 games. Many are classic fruit slots, often in several versions with 27, 81 or 243 ways to win. Alongside these, you’ll find horror, adventure, dice and mythology themes. All of Apollo’s games are built in HTML5, so they work on desktops, tablets and phones.

Here’s a look at some of Apollo’s best-known titles, using details from the studio’s own game pages.

Slot Layout Volatility Max win
Crystal Miners 5 reels Medium 500x
Hell Game 5 reels, 5 lines Medium 500x
Horror Joker 4 reels, 7 lines (81 with a wild) Medium-high Not stated
Woodenmatic 3 reels, 27 lines Medium-high 135x
Fiery Dice 4 reels, 81 lines High 180x
Four Fruits II 4 reels, 10 lines Medium Not stated

Crystal Miners

Crystal Miners is one of Apollo’s premium five-reel slots. Its main feature is the mining bonus. Here, miners pull wild symbols out of a lava stream to help you form winning lines.

Hell Game

Hell Game is a fiery five-reel slot with five paylines. The whole design leans into the infernal theme. Its wild symbol can add multipliers of 3x, 4x or 5x to your wins.

Horror Joker

Horror Joker blends a classic joker slot with a spooky horror theme. It plays on four reels with seven paylines. However, as soon as a wild lands anywhere, all 81 ways to win switch on.

Woodenmatic

Woodenmatic is a traditional three-reel fruit slot with 27 paylines. The fruit symbols are carved in wood, which gives the game a rustic look. The top-paying symbol is also the wild.

Newer Releases

Apollo keeps adding new games to its range. Recent titles include Fiery Dice, Duel of Kings and Synthy Fruzzy . It has also released Diva’s Spin, a glamorous new slot, and Apollo Plinko, a quick-fire mini-game.

You’ll also find Apollo favourites such as Rich Fish 2 in the portfolio. Read our Rich Fish slot review to see how the original game played.

The Apollo Jackpot

Every online slot from Apollo Games includes the Apollo Jackpot. This is a mystery jackpot with three levels: Bronze, Silver and Golden.

You don’t need to do anything special to take part. Any bet on an Apollo game gives you a chance to win. The jackpot drops completely at random. In fact, your bet size, the last jackpot win and whether your spin wins or loses make no difference. So even a losing spin can land the jackpot.

The Golden Jackpot is the rarest and biggest prize. The Silver level drops more often, while Bronze is the most frequent of the three.

Check the RTP Before You Play

This is the most important thing to know about Apollo Games. Most Apollo slots come with a range of RTP settings, often from 85% to 99%. Each casino chooses which version to offer.

That’s a very wide range. A slot set at 85% returns far less over time than the same slot set at 96% or more. As a result, the same game can be much better value at one casino than at another.

Before you play, open the game’s info or help screen and look for the RTP. If it isn’t shown, or it’s well below 96%, consider choosing another game. Our guide to RTP and online slots explains why this matters.

Topboss Group tip: with Apollo slots, the casino picks the RTP. Always check the game’s info screen first, as the difference between versions can be huge.

Land-Based Cabinets

Apollo still makes slot machines for land-based venues. Its current cabinets include the Apollo Stellar, Apollo Orcane and Apollo Hurricane. Its VLT range offers more than 30 unique titles.

This background shows in Apollo’s online games. Many of its slots, especially the fruit games, have a classic arcade feel inspired by the machines found in Central European gaming halls.

Where to Play Apollo Games Slots

Apollo’s games are most widely available at casinos in its core markets, such as the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. Elsewhere, availability depends on the casino.

If you play at casinos such as Slottica Casino or Playzee Casino, use the lobby search or provider filter to see which Apollo titles they currently carry. Game line-ups change often, so it’s always worth checking. If you’re new to playing online, our guide to starting your online games journey is a good place to begin.

Topboss Group Verdict

Our verdict: Apollo Games is a solid, properly licensed studio with nearly two decades of experience.
