How Many Games Do They Have?
Aristocrat has over 200 innovative games, their greatest strength being slots with many entertaining themes, high-definition graphics and incredible sound effects. Aristocrat also produces a range of gaming software for table and live games.
A 200-plus game library is substantial for a studio with Aristocrat’s decades-long land-based history, and it reflects a steady, ongoing investment in online content rather than a one-off push to catch up with newer digital-first providers.

How Did Aristocrat Begin?
Aristocrat was founded by Len Ainsworth in 1953 in Australia supplying cabinet games to casinos. In 1956 they introduced the Clubmaster range of machines which had some major technical advances. Then in 1958 Aristocrat introduced the first poker machine onto the Australian market. With further innovation, in 1965 they produced their first electronic slot machine.
During the early 1960’s, Aristocrat expanded into Europe and the USA.
Through the 1970’s the machines improved with technology and by the mid-seventies their first video slot machine was produced. During the 1980’s their Microstar range of slot machines was introduced. Some of that technology is still used at present.
By the 1990s Aristocrat opened offices in South Africa and South America. In 2000 Aristocrat secured a license which allowed entry into the Las Vegas gambling market and during 2005 they opened an office in China.
In 2013, Aristocrat acquired Gaming Madness, an online gaming company with mobile apps. This quickly became one of the most sought-after gaming software companies worldwide. Aristocrat was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1996.
Few gaming studios can trace an unbroken line from physical cabinet games in 1950s Australia through to modern HTML5 mobile slots, and that seven-decade history is part of what gives Aristocrat’s brand its weight with land-based casino operators in particular.
What Type of Pokies and Games Does Aristocrat Offer?
Aristocrat slots have various themes, some of the best ones are based on or about Ancient Egypt or Chinese culture. The focus of Aristocrat games is mostly on video slots with between 3 and 50 paylines. The video slots have all the standard features which include scatter and wild symbols, bonus rounds, multipliers and re-trigger win options.
Aristocrat slots have special features which include Reel Power and the Drag ‘n Drop Wild. Reel Power allows players to purchase reels instead of lines. Drag ‘n Drop Wild lets players move the Drag ‘n Drop Wild symbol onto any position on the reels.
Some Aristocrat slots give players the option to place an Extra Bet for a chance to win additional Free Spins or Sticky Wilds. The slots have various themes with bright and bold graphics, stunning animations and classic sounds. The games run smoothly and offer an entertaining atmosphere.
Some of their most popular slots are More Chilli, and Queen of the Nile, also found in many Las Vegas Casinos.
Reel Power in particular is one of Aristocrat’s most recognisable trademarked mechanics, and the Drag ‘n Drop Wild adds a rare degree of player agency to a genre where Wild placement is usually left entirely to chance.
Does Aristocrat Offer a Progressive Jackpot?
Aristocrat features some mega Progressive Jackpots, the most popular being Cash Express and Jackpot Carnival. These are hyperlink themes which place large progressive jackpots between 4 to 12 machines. Although theoretically, up to 256 machines could be linked under one jackpot system.
Linking jackpots across dozens or even hundreds of machines is a hallmark of Aristocrat’s land-based casino heritage, and it’s part of why titles like Cash Express and Jackpot Carnival have built such a loyal following among progressive jackpot players specifically.
Does Aristocrat Have a Mobile Platform?
Aristocrat follows the modern trends and most of their games and slots are available on the mobile casino market. They make use of HTML5 technology to create mobile-friendly slots that can be played directly on a mobile browser. Aristocrat mobile slots are compatible with Android, iPad, iPhone and Windows.
Broad HTML5 compatibility across every major mobile platform ensures Aristocrat’s extensive back catalogue remains playable regardless of device, which matters given how much of the studio’s output predates the mobile-first era most newer developers were built around.
