5 Wishes Slot Overview
5 Wishes is an Arabian Nights slot from RealTime Gaming. It’s built around Aladdin and his magic lamp. As the name suggests, this Genie is more generous than most. Instead of the usual three wishes, the game offers up to 100 free games and a random progressive jackpot.
The game isn’t brand new. It launched at Springbok Casino in March 2020, and we’ve updated this review to reflect that. RTG’s games are now supplied by SpinLogic Gaming, so you may see that name in some casino lobbies.
The star feature is the Genie Magic Wild. It appears on the first reel and pays double when it completes a win. It can also transform characters on the other reels. Add in up to 100 free games, and it’s easy to see the appeal.

Theme and Graphics
5 Wishes takes you to a desert city of palaces, flying carpets and treasure. The cartoon-style artwork is bright and colourful, and the characters are easy to recognise.
Aladdin, a princess and a cheeky monkey appear as the main character symbols. The Magic Lamp acts as the scatter, while the Genie himself is the wild. A palace symbol also features on the reels in our original review.
The lower-paying symbols are card royals from 9 up to Ace. They’re styled to match the Arabian setting, so the reels feel consistent from top to bottom.
Paylines, Betting and RTP
Springbok’s launch announcement didn’t list the number of paylines, the bet range or the RTP. Our original review described a 5-reel game with 25 fixed paylines. It also gave a bet range of 0.05 to 125 per spin, which suits most budgets.
We couldn’t confirm these figures today. SpinLogic’s public game list doesn’t include 5 Wishes, and RTG games can come in more than one RTP setting. So, open the help screen at your casino to see the exact numbers before you play.
5 Wishes Symbols
The symbols mix fairy tale characters with classic card royals. Here’s how they break down:
- Genie: the wild symbol, landing on reel 1 only.
- Magic Lamp: the scatter that starts the free games.
- Aladdin, the princess and the monkey: the character symbols the Genie can transform.
- Palace: a higher-value symbol listed in our original review.
- 9 to Ace: the lower-paying card symbols.
Our original review listed a top fixed payout of 5,000x your stake. We couldn’t confirm that figure with the studio, so treat it as a guide only.
| Symbol | Role | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Genie | Wild | Reel 1 only, pays double on wins it completes |
| Magic Lamp | Scatter | 3, 4 or 5 award 10, 20 or 100 free games |
| Aladdin | Character symbol | Can be transformed by the Genie |
| Princess | Character symbol | Can be transformed by the Genie |
| Monkey | Character symbol | Can be transformed by the Genie |
| 9 to Ace | Low-value symbols | Smaller line wins |
5 Wishes Bonus Features
Springbok’s launch announcement describes three main features. Here’s how each one works.
Genie Magic Wild
The Genie only lands on the first reel, but he makes a big difference when he does. He substitutes for regular symbols, and any win he helps complete pays double.
He can also transform Aladdin, princess or monkey symbols on the other reels before wins are paid. That can turn a near miss into a winning line. The Genie Magic Wild stays active during the free games too.
Magic Lamp Free Games
The Magic Lamp is the scatter, and it pays anywhere on the reels. Land three or more to start the free games:
- 3 lamps: 10 free games.
- 4 lamps: 20 free games.
- 5 lamps: 100 free games.
More lamps during the feature award extra free games. The free games are played at the same lines and bet as the spin that triggered them. A 100-spin bonus is rare, but it’s one of the most generous free spins awards you’ll find.
Progressive Jackpot
The progressive jackpot can trigger at random at the end of any game. You don’t need special symbols to win it, so every spin has a small chance.
Our original review described two progressive jackpots. Springbok’s announcement mentions one random progressive, and we couldn’t confirm the current setup. The jackpot amounts also vary by casino, so check the game screen for the live values.
Tips for Playing 5 Wishes
The free games are where 5 Wishes really shines, but they don’t land often. Here are a few simple tips to get more from your sessions:
- Pick a comfortable stake: the free games use your triggering bet, so a steady stake works best.
- Don’t chase the jackpot: it’s random, and a bigger bet doesn’t guarantee it.
- Set a time limit: bonus rounds can be slow to arrive, so plan your session length.
- Try the demo first: if your casino offers a free-play version, use it to learn the features.
These won’t change the odds, which are fixed by the game. They’ll simply help you enjoy the game at a pace that suits you.
How to Play 5 Wishes
5 Wishes is easy to learn, even if you’re new to RTG games. Follow these steps:
- Open the help screen: check the RTP, paylines and bet limits at your casino.
- Set your bet: choose a stake that fits your budget.
- Spin the reels: press Spin, or use Autoplay if it’s offered.
- Watch reel 1: the Genie can double wins and transform characters.
- Collect lamps: three or more start 10 to 100 free games.
Where Can You Play 5 Wishes?
5 Wishes launched at Springbok Casino, an RTG site that focuses on South African players. At the time of writing, Springbok’s homepage advertises an R11,500 welcome bonus. Bonus terms change often, so read the current terms before you claim.
Thunderbolt Casino is another RTG casino with rand banking. Game lobbies change over time, so search for 5 Wishes in the lobby before you deposit.
Online casino gambling isn’t licensed in South Africa. So, check the rules that apply where you live before you sign up anywhere.
What We Corrected in This Review
- Launch date: our older review called 5 Wishes a new release. The game actually launched in March 2020.
- Studio name: we’ve added that RTG’s games are now supplied by SpinLogic Gaming.
- Genie Wild: we’ve added that the Genie can transform character symbols on the other reels.
- Jackpots: our older review described two progressive jackpots. Springbok’s announcement mentions one random progressive, so we’ve flagged the difference.
- Unconfirmed figures: we’ve marked the paylines, bet range and top payout as coming from our original review.
Playing 5 Wishes on Mobile
Springbok’s launch announcement said the game was available in download, instant play, mobile and app versions. The cartoon symbols are large and clear, so the game is easy to follow on a phone screen.
