PlayUp customers have moved to NextBet. The operator’s migration notice scheduled the transfer for 1 March 2026. PlayUp’s website still loads, but its current wagering operation identifies Nextbet Pty Ltd. For the current sportsbook assessment, use our NextBet review below.

PlayUp and NextBet: What Has Changed?

PlayUp became familiar to Australian punters through racing, sports betting and its connection with Draftstars daily fantasy sports. It also brought together several older local bookmaker brands.

NextBet subsequently acquired PlayUp. The operator published a migration notice explaining the transfer of accounts, balances, pending bets and account history to NextBet. This page now focuses on that transition rather than presenting PlayUp as an unrelated new bookmaker.

Our NextBet review covers the current sportsbook’s markets, racing information tools, Custom Rewards and banking conditions.

Current Status at a Glance

Question Current position
Has the PlayUp website disappeared? No. The public website still loaded when checked for this update.
Who is named as the wagering operator? Nextbet Pty Ltd.
Where does the migration notice direct customers? NextBet, using existing PlayUp credentials.
Does this page advertise a separate PlayUp welcome offer? No. Historical PlayUp offers are not presented as current promotions.
What happened to Draftstars? The daily fantasy product continues within the shared NextBet platform.

A legacy website can remain accessible during a brand transition. That does not establish that every historical PlayUp product, promotion or payment instruction remains valid. Check the current account and its terms.

Existing PlayUp Logins and Accounts

The migration FAQ says PlayUp customers can log in to NextBet using their existing PlayUp username and password. It also explains that the PlayUp app update would turn the app into NextBet.

Existing customers were not required to create a separate new account for the migration. If you cannot sign in, use the current password-reset process or contact support. Opening additional accounts can conflict with the operator’s one-account rules.

The notice says cash balances, bonus balances, pending bets and rewards settings were to move across. Account history and transactions were also to remain available. These are the operator’s stated migration arrangements, not a check of any individual customer’s account.

Need help with a legacy account? Contact support@nextbet.com.au or 1800 752 987. Use the email address linked to your account and relevant transaction or bet references. Do not send your password.

Payment Details After the Move

The migration notice warns that debit-card details need to be entered again and that PayID, BPAY and EFT details changed. Use the instructions shown inside the current NextBet account rather than a saved PlayUp payment reference.

The current shared platform supports several local funding methods. Deposits, withdrawable balances and bank-transfer timing have separate conditions, so check the cashier before making a payment request.

For an unresolved balance or pending bet, ask support to trace the transaction and keep a copy of the response. Do not assume that every migration-related question requires a fresh deposit or a new account.

Draftstars and Shared Account Limits

Our Draftstars review explains the current daily fantasy product. It covers salary-cap teams, contest entry fees, Rapidfire and the distinction between a virtual selection budget and cash gambling spend.

The operator’s current terms apply account restrictions and responsible gambling limits across NextBet and Draftstars. Changing from sportsbook betting to fantasy contests does not create a separate allowance or remove an existing restriction.

The Older Brands in the PlayUp Story

PlayUp’s history includes TopBetta and MadBookie, as well as ClassicBet. Those names belong to the group’s earlier development. They should not be confused with the current NextBet sportsbook and Draftstars fantasy offering.

PlayUp’s company announcement recorded completion of the TopBetta and MadBookie acquisition in January 2019. The later NextBet migration is a separate change, with its own account and payment instructions.

Our Previous Suspension Notice

An earlier version of this page said Topboss Group could not access the group’s affiliate programme and had suspended its listings. That partnership explanation is outdated. We have now published current NextBet and Draftstars reviews.

We have removed the old suspension wording. This page remains a PlayUp account and brand-transition guide, with current product information directed to the dedicated NextBet review. Historical PlayUp scores and bonus cards are not used as a rating of today’s NextBet service.
