PG Soft Ratings

Our review team has rated PG Soft Casino Games on the categories below and PG Soft scores an awesome 80% ratings overall.

PG Soft, also known as Pocket Games Soft, is a Malta-based casino software developer best known for mobile-first online slots. The company was founded in 2015 and has grown considerably since Topboss Group first reviewed it in 2021.

Back then, the studio was still relatively young, with fewer than 100 titles. Its official website now shows more than 160 slot games in the live portfolio, support for 44 languages and 173 currencies, and distribution through more than 1,000 operators worldwide.

The developer has also reached an important milestone behind those live catalogue figures. In 2025, it announced Mythical Guardians as its 200th game release. Because its current pages show slightly different live slot totals, we do not treat one fixed number as permanent. The homepage currently displays 168 slots, while the corporate page displays 166. The safest description is therefore a current catalogue of more than 160 slots, with more than 200 games released historically.

About PG Soft

The company was established in 2015 with a strong focus on games designed specifically for smartphones and tablets. That mobile-first approach was more distinctive when it launched than it is today, because many older casino developers were still adapting desktop games for smaller screens.

The company spent roughly two years developing its early portfolio before officially launching its products. Early titles included Honey Trap of Diao Chan, Fortune Gods, Summon & Conquer, Tree of Fortune and the Medusa series.

The company is headquartered in Valletta, Malta. The Malta Gaming Authority currently lists Pocket Games Software Limited at Valletta Buildings, Fourth Floor, Suite 20, South Street, Valletta, and shows its B2B licence as active.

Unlike an online casino, the provider does not normally take deposits from players or process withdrawals. It is a B2B software supplier. Casino operators integrate its games and then handle player registration, payments, bonuses, verification and account support themselves.

Who Owns PG Soft?

The legal entity we can independently verify is Pocket Games Software Limited in Malta. The current MGA authorisation record confirms the company and its licence, but it does not publish a current shareholder or beneficial-owner breakdown on the public verification page.

We also did not find a clear current ownership statement on the provider’s own corporate pages. For that reason, Topboss Group is not naming an individual founder, shareholder or parent company as the current owner without first-party evidence.

Licensing and Regulation

This is one area where our old review needed a proper correction.

Topboss Group previously stated that PG Soft held licences in Malta, Gibraltar and the United Kingdom. The current position is more nuanced.

Malta Gaming Authority

Pocket Games Software Limited currently holds Malta Gaming Authority B2B Critical Supply licence MGA/B2B/435/2017. The MGA live authorisation database lists the company as Licensed for Type 1 casino gaming services.

There is relevant history here. The MGA suspended the same authorisation on 29 September 2020 because the company had failed to submit documentation relating to a change in qualifying shareholding and had not submitted required industry performance returns for two reporting periods.

That suspension is historical. The MGA’s current verification page now lists Pocket Games Software Limited and licence MGA/B2B/435/2017 as Licensed. We could not find a separate MGA notice stating the exact date on which the suspension was lifted, so we are not going to invent one.

Gibraltar

The company’s current material states that it holds operating authorisation from the Gibraltar regulatory authorities. We have not found a current public Gibraltar register entry giving a licence number that we can independently verify, so we are not publishing a Gibraltar licence number.

What About the Old UKGC Claim?

The old Topboss Group page should no longer say that the provider currently holds UK Gambling Commission licence number 45515.

The UK Gambling Commission register shows account 45515 under Adoptit Publishing Limited, not Pocket Games Software Limited. Its Gambling Software and Game Host licences were surrendered on 7 July 2025. Some older provider pages still contain references to that number in some language versions, but it should not be presented as a current PG Soft UK licence.

Licensing Update: We have removed the old blanket claim that the developer currently holds a UKGC licence. Its Malta B2B licence is active and independently verifiable. The company also states that it is authorised in Gibraltar, but we have not located a current public Gibraltar licence number to quote.

Independent Game Testing

Yes. PG Soft states that its products are validated and certified by BMM Testlabs and Gaming Associates.

BMM Testlabs is an independent gaming testing laboratory, while Gaming Associates is an accredited testing facility used for regulated gambling markets. The company says its testing covers areas including random number generation, game mathematics, implementation and game rules.

There is also direct evidence in the provider’s own game documentation. Current game information and certification reports identify Gaming Associates as the testing body for titles such as Mahjong Ways, Lucky Neko and Baccarat Deluxe.

This does not mean every casino offering these games should automatically be trusted. The game developer and the casino operator are separate businesses. Players should still check the casino’s own licence, terms, payment record and restrictions.

Official Game Verification

The company has taken additional steps to deal with counterfeit copies of its games. It launched an official game verification system after warning that unauthorised versions of its titles were appearing online.

That matters because a fake game can copy familiar artwork or branding without using the developer’s certified code or tested game mathematics. The developer warns that counterfeit versions can contain unauthorised code and may not carry the same testing protections as genuine releases.

For players, the practical lesson is simple: familiar game graphics do not prove that a game is genuine. Playing through an established casino with properly integrated content is safer than relying on an unknown site simply using PG Soft branding.

PG Soft Games and Portfolio

Slots dominate the current catalogue. The developer’s homepage presently lists 168 slot games and one table game, although another official corporate page currently shows 166 slots. The developer also announced its 200th overall game release in 2025.

The difference is likely related to the distinction between games released over time and games currently counted in the live catalogue. Titles can be withdrawn, restricted to certain markets or no longer included in the main current count. Because the official pages themselves do not match exactly, Topboss Group uses the broader and more defensible description of more than 160 current slots.

The company’s style is easy to recognise. Many games use highly animated characters, bright graphics, cinematic transitions and mobile-friendly vertical layouts. Asian mythology, wealth symbols, animals, fantasy and folklore are common themes, although the catalogue is much broader than those categories alone.

Popular PG Soft Slots

The studio has produced a large number of recognisable titles. Some are older games that helped establish the studio, while others have become much more prominent internationally.

Mahjong Ways

Mahjong Ways is one of the better-known PG Soft releases. It is a 5-reel, 4-row slot with 1,024 ways to win. According to the current game information, it has a theoretical RTP of 96.92%, medium volatility and a maximum advertised win of 25,000x the stake.

The game uses Wild symbol transformations and a Free Spins feature with increasing multipliers. The studio later followed it with Mahjong Ways 2.

Lucky Neko

Lucky Neko is another prominent PG Soft title. It uses six reels, five rows and a changing number of ways to win. The current information sheet lists 2,025 to 32,400 ways, a theoretical RTP of 96.73%, medium volatility and a maximum advertised win of 100,000x.

Its collapsing reels and expanding game area make it a good example of how far the developer has moved beyond the simpler slots found in its early catalogue.

Fortune Ox

Fortune Ox is a compact 3-reel PG Soft slot built around respins and a multiplier of up to x10. The developer lists its theoretical RTP at 96.75%, with medium volatility and a maximum win of 2,000x.

The game has remained prominent enough for the company to feature it in a 2026 campaign with global brand ambassador Chris Gayle.

Guardians of Ice and Fire

Topboss Group has tested and reviewed the PG Soft slot Guardians of Ice and Fire. This fantasy-themed slot uses six reels and 576 ways to win in the base game, increasing to 2,304 ways during Free Spins. The developer’s own current game information lists an RTP of 96.70%, medium volatility and a theoretical maximum win of 50,000x.

The Free Spins feature can add an extra reel and introduce win multipliers, making it one of the more distinctive titles from that period.

Current Table Games

The old Topboss Group review listed 21 Blackjack, European Blackjack, Baccarat Deluxe and Joker Wild as table games from the studio. That is no longer a good representation of the current portfolio.

The official website now reports just one current table game. Baccarat Deluxe remains live on the provider’s site and is supported on iOS, Android, HTML5, macOS and Windows.

Current Baccarat Deluxe documentation gives a theoretical RTP of 98.94% for Traditional Baccarat and 98.76% for Super 6, with low session volatility.

Older Blackjack products did exist, and the developer published launch material for American Blackjack and European Blackjack. However, we are treating those as historical releases rather than presenting them as part of the current table-game range.

Mobile-First Casino Software

Mobile gaming remains the clearest part of PG Soft’s identity. The company describes itself as a pioneer of mobile app gamification, and its products are designed to run across smartphones, tablets and computers.

PG Soft supports browser-based HTML5 play together with iOS, Android, Windows and macOS environments. This gives operators a single game ecosystem that can work across different devices without the old model of separate desktop casino downloads.

That approach fits naturally with the broader shift toward mobile gaming, where players increasingly expect the same account and game catalogue to work on phones, tablets and desktops.

Portrait-Friendly Design

Many titles are designed to work especially well in portrait orientation. Buttons, reels, feature displays and game information are positioned so they remain usable on a phone held vertically.

This is one reason its games often feel more like modern mobile games than traditional desktop slots squeezed onto a smaller screen.

HTML5 Compatibility

HTML5 is central to the company’s cross-device approach. Current game documents repeatedly list HTML5 alongside iOS, Android, Windows and macOS compatibility.

That allows supported games to run inside modern browsers and reduces the need for players to download a dedicated casino application simply to access individual titles.

Features and Technology

PG Soft does more than produce individual slot themes. Its platform includes several features designed for casino operators and mobile players.

SmartBot

SmartBot is the developer’s proprietary background-play technology. The company says it allows users to switch between apps while keeping a game running in the background, with automatic disconnect and suspension features built into the system.

This is one of the features that reflects the developer’s mobile-first thinking, because it addresses the way people actually move between applications on a phone.

PG Game Lobby

The PG Game Lobby is designed to work through web browsers and on iOS and Android devices, with integration for macOS and Windows desktops. It gives operators a provider-specific environment for displaying games, rules, prizes and other information.

Tournaments and Social Features

The provider also supplies tournament tools that casino operators can use for player competitions and promotions. Its Social System includes features such as chat, emoticons and achievement medals.

Whether these functions are actually available to a player depends on how the casino has integrated the provider and which features it chooses to activate.

Free Game and Bonus Tools

PG Soft provides operators with configurable Free Game and Bonus features. These can be applied to one or more games and targeted at different groups of players.

There is therefore no universal provider bonus that applies at every casino. Bonus amounts, free spins, wagering terms and eligibility are set by the operator offering the promotion.

Operator Back Office

The provider also supplies a back-office platform for operators. The company says this provides real-time player and revenue data, game-management tools and 24-hour access to the operator’s systems.

The back office supports 21 languages, which is separate from the 44 languages the provider currently says are supported across its wider products.

Players will rarely interact directly with this part of the software, but it is an important reminder that this is a B2B technology company rather than simply a studio drawing slot graphics.

Currencies and Languages

The current PG Soft homepage says its products support 173 currencies and 44 languages. This is a major increase from the figures shown when we first reviewed the company.

Support at provider level does not mean every casino carrying these games will offer all 173 currencies or every language. The casino operator decides which currencies, banking methods and account languages are available to its own customers.

Where Are the Games Available?

The company currently states that its games are distributed through 1,063 operators globally and that its customers span 103 countries. Its own regional breakdown places 42% of its customer distribution in Asia, 36% in Europe, 11% in Africa, 7% in the Americas and 4% in Oceania.

Those figures help explain why the provider is now much easier to find than it was when our original review was written.

Restricted Regions

PG Soft’s current corporate information says its services are not presently available in the following regions:

  • United States
  • Australia
  • Israel
  • Iran
  • Singapore
  • Malaysia
  • Taiwan
  • Hong Kong
  • Macau
  • United Arab Emirates
  • North Korea

This is the provider’s restriction list, not a complete list of every country where an individual casino may restrict players. Casino operators can impose additional limits based on their own licences, payment providers and local laws.

Payments and Withdrawals

PG Soft does not operate a normal player cashier, so it does not set the deposit methods or withdrawal options at casinos carrying its games.

If you play one of these slots at an online casino, Visa, Mastercard, bank transfer, e-wallet or cryptocurrency availability comes from the casino operator rather than the game developer. The same applies to withdrawal times, identity checks, minimum deposits and payment limits.

When comparing operators, it is more useful to check the casino itself rather than assuming that two casinos with the same games will offer the same banking experience. Our guide to software companies explains more about the difference between game developers and casino operators.

Player Support

The company advertises 24/7 support for its products and operator systems. However, players with an account-specific problem should normally contact the casino where they are playing.

The software provider cannot usually resolve a casino withdrawal, reverse a deposit, change an operator’s bonus terms or verify a player’s casino account. Those responsibilities sit with the operator holding the customer relationship.

Provider support becomes more relevant when the issue involves the game itself, such as a technical fault, disputed game round or verification of whether a title is genuine.

Partnerships and Distribution

PG Soft has expanded its reach through direct operator deals and distribution partnerships. Its official partner information names businesses such as Relax Gaming and Leander Games, while its historical news archive records agreements with companies including EveryMatrix, Pariplay, SoftGamings, 188BET, SBOBET and Dafabet.

These arrangements matter because modern casinos often obtain games through aggregators rather than integrating every developer separately. A player may therefore encounter its games at a casino even when the casino’s main platform is supplied by another company.

How the Developer Has Changed Since Our Original Review

The difference between the company in 2021 and today is significant.

Our old page described a developer with 78+ titles and 21 supported languages. It now reports more than 160 current slots, 44 supported languages, 173 currencies and more than 1,000 operator relationships. It also announced its 200th overall game release in 2025.

The company is still strongly associated with mobile slots, but it has also added more sophisticated operator tools, game verification, promotional features, tournaments, social systems and a broader international distribution network.

That growth is exactly why old provider reviews need to be revisited rather than simply having the publication date changed.

What We Like

  • Mobile-first design rather than simple desktop-to-mobile conversion
  • Large current slot catalogue with more than 200 games released historically
  • Active Malta B2B licence that can be independently verified
  • Independent testing and certification through BMM Testlabs and Gaming Associates
  • Strong support for languages and currencies
  • HTML5 compatibility across major device types
  • Official tools designed to identify counterfeit games
  • Published information on restricted regions
  • Distinctive visual style and polished animation

What Could Be Better?

  • The official website currently gives slightly different live slot totals on different pages.
  • Some older provider pages still display outdated UK licensing information.
  • The current table-game range is tiny compared with the slot portfolio.
  • The heavily animated style will not appeal to every player.
  • Gibraltar licensing information would be clearer if the company published a current licence number that could be easily checked.

Our Verdict

Topboss Group Verdict

PG Soft has grown from a relatively small mobile-focused developer into a major international slot supplier. Its active Malta B2B licence, independent testing, broad operator distribution and strong mobile technology are all positives. The main weaknesses are inconsistent catalogue counts on its own website and some outdated licensing references that still appear on older PG Soft pages.

PG Soft’s biggest strength remains the thing that made it interesting in the first place: its games are built around mobile play rather than treating smartphones as a secondary platform.

The developer now has a much larger catalogue, stronger distribution and more sophisticated technology than it did when Topboss Group first reviewed it. Popular titles such as Mahjong Ways, Lucky Neko and Fortune Ox demonstrate how the studio has developed from its early Medusa and Fortune Gods releases into a recognisable global slot brand.

We also give the developer credit for its game-verification initiative and for publishing detailed game information that includes RTP, volatility, supported platforms and testing information. Those are useful details for players who want more than a colourful screenshot and a marketing description.

At the same time, we have corrected the parts of our old review that no longer hold up. We no longer list a current UKGC licence, we no longer quote the old 78-game catalogue, and we distinguish between active titles, historical releases and the developer’s 200-game milestone.

For players interested in the wider technology behind online casinos, our existing casino software guides explain how providers fit into the overall casino ecosystem.
