Casino Tropez Review: Suspended and Now Closed

Casino Tropez was an online casino that ran on Playtech software. It was operated by Universe Entertainment Services Malta Limited and held a licence from the Malta Gaming Authority. Topboss Group suspended it, and the casino has since closed.

Status: Suspended. We suspended Casino Tropez for non-payment and for not replying to our emails. Its website now says it is closed for business. We do not recommend the casino, so please do not try to deposit.

What Happened to Casino Tropez?

We suspended Casino Tropez after we found two problems. Players reported non-payment, and the casino did not answer our emails.

When we visited casinotropez.com in October 2026, we found a short notice. It says the site is no longer available and that Casinotropez.com is now closed for business. It also lists the company name and Malta address of Universe Entertainment Services Malta Limited. It asks anyone with questions to email the casino’s support address.

The notice does not give a closing date or a reason. For that reason, we do not guess at either one.

Why We Suspended Casino Tropez

We suspend a casino when we find problems that put players at risk. Casino Tropez had two on our file.

Non-Payment

Players play to win and cash out. When payments do not arrive, trust breaks down quickly. Our records show non-payment as a main reason for the suspension.

No Reply to Our Emails

A good casino answers questions from players and partners. We emailed Casino Tropez and did not get a reply. As a result, we could not resolve our concerns.

A casino that stops answering emails is often a casino that has stopped paying.

What Casino Tropez Used to Offer

The details below come from our earlier review. They describe the casino as it was when it was open. None of it is available today.

The Casino’s Story

Casino Tropez described itself as founded in 2001, and we recorded 2003 as its year of operation. Either way, it was a long-running site. Games ran on PC, mobile and tablet, and support was available around the clock by live chat, email and phone. The site used SSL encryption.

Game Types

The lobby covered a wide range of games:

  • Slots and video slots
  • Progressive jackpots
  • Video poker
  • Live baccarat and live roulette
  • Table games and craps
  • Bingo, keno and scratch cards
  • Virtual horses and multi-spin games

Slots

Slots made up the biggest part of the library. Players could find 3-reel slots, 5-reel video slots and branded titles. Examples included John Wayne, Superman, Gladiator, Rocky and Superman vs Batman.

The casino also carried Playtech’s Fire Blaze jackpot slots. Titles included Golden Macaque, Blue Wizard and Pharaoh’s Daughter. Each of these games offers four jackpots.

Table Games and Live Casino

Table games covered blackjack and roulette variants, plus baccarat. The graphics and animations were a highlight for many players. The live casino added baccarat and roulette with real dealers.

Promotions

Our earlier review described a monthly first-deposit match of 100% up to $150. It also mentioned more than 400 Playtech games. These offers have ended with the casino.

South African Version

There was also a South African version of the casino. It was suspended on our site as well, so we no longer link to it from this page.

What to Do if You Still Have Funds

The casino’s closure notice points players to its support email. Follow these steps:

  1. Email the support address shown on the Casino Tropez website.
  2. Include your username, account email and the date of your last deposit.
  3. Attach screenshots of your balance or old statements.
  4. Keep a copy of every message you send and receive.
  5. Do not pay anyone who offers to recover your money for a fee.

If you get no reply, ask your bank or payment provider what options you have. You can also contact the Malta Gaming Authority, which licensed the casino. Our page on casino complaints explains how to write a clear complaint.

Licence and Safety

Casino Tropez held a Malta Gaming Authority licence. The Malta regulator is a respected one, and it gives players somewhere to take a dispute.

A licence helps, but it does not guarantee that every casino will pay on time. Your own habits matter too. Keep balances low, withdraw often and keep records.

Warning Signs to Watch For

Casino Tropez’s story shows why it pays to stay alert. Watch for these signs at any casino:

  • Withdrawals that take longer and longer.
  • Support that stops replying.
  • Bonus terms that change after you deposit.
  • Many players reporting the same payment problem.
  • A website that shows a closure notice or stops loading.

How to Choose a Safe Online Casino

A few checks can protect you. Use them every time you join a new site:

  • Find the licence details at the bottom of the page.
  • Confirm the licence on the regulator’s own website.
  • Read the bonus terms, including wagering and cash-out limits.
  • Test a small deposit and a small withdrawal first.
  • Look for live chat and clear contact details.

Our guide to casino welcome bonuses explains how to read the fine print.

What Players Can Learn From This Closure

Casino Tropez was a familiar name for many years. A long track record does not protect players forever, though. Owners change, payment partners leave and licences lapse.

So it helps to treat every casino account as temporary. Do not leave large balances sitting in a casino wallet. Cash out your wins soon after you make them, and keep your own record of deposits and withdrawals.

Keep Proof of Your Account

Save your username, your registered email and a few screenshots of your account page. If a casino closes, this proof speeds up any claim you make later. It also helps your bank or payment provider understand what happened.

Use a Payment Method With Protection

Some payment methods give you more options when something goes wrong. Cards and e-wallets often let you raise a dispute or show a clear payment trail. Check the rules of your own provider before you deposit.

Do Not Chase Losses

If a casino has closed with money still in your account, it is tempting to deposit elsewhere to “win it back”. Please do not. Treat the lost balance as a separate matter, and play only with money you can afford to lose.

How Topboss Group Treats Closed and Suspended Casinos

We keep pages for closed and suspended casinos live for a reason. Many players still search for these names. They want to know if the site is safe and what happened to it.

We do not recommend suspended or closed casinos, and we do not list them in our active casino lists. Instead, each page explains the status in plain words and points players to open alternatives. You can also read our blacklisted casinos warnings to see which operators we advise you to avoid.

Why Reviews Need Regular Updates

Online casinos change quickly. Owners, software and licences can shift within a year. A review that was fair a few years ago may be wrong today. For that reason, we revisit older pages and say clearly what we have and have not been able to check.

If you have news about Casino Tropez, please contact us. Facts from players help us keep our pages accurate.

Keeping Your Gambling Under Control

Gambling should be fun. Set a budget before you play and stick to it. Never use money you need for bills. Take regular breaks.

Most casinos offer deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion tools. Our responsible gambling page has more support.
