One of the key differences between playing bingo in a club and online is the tendency to get distracted.
When you go, maybe with a group of friends, to a club then you are solidly concentrating on the game itself
Can you Multi-task?
Playing at home, there are likely to be lots of other things on your mind. Perhaps the phone keeps ringing, or you need to keep an eye on how the dinner is cooking. There may be children needing help with homework or a dog that demands to be walked.
Others around you, when you play at home, may not appreciate that you would like some personal time to just relax and play bingo. That’s especially the case when you take a laptop into the lounge and play while sitting on the couch – because you’re visible, people may assume you’re available.
Perhaps you’re the kind of person who is able to multi-task, keeping several different balls in the air at once. In which case, the key thing is don’t forget to check the auto-fill feature while playing so you don’t miss any numbers if suddenly you realise the gravy is boiling over on the stove.
One good piece of advice, though, is to take yourself away from the centre of the house. You’ll often find for example, that if you stay in the bedroom, everyone else will just get on with their lives quite happily.
If you have a dedicated room where you can go online, perhaps a study, that can be a good option. Sometimes, though, people don’t give enough thought to what kind of chair to use and if you’re going to be online for quite a while then you should invest in as comfortable a chair as possible to avoid developing muscular problems.
