Topboss Group is an independent online gambling information and digital publishing network with roots dating back to 1999. We began in South Africa as Topboss Media, founded by Heather and Andy, and registered Topboss Limited in New Zealand in 2003. Both countries remain part of our business history and operations, while our websites serve readers and industry partners internationally.

What began as a single website developed into a network of specialist publications covering online casinos, slots, gambling information and individual markets. During our growth years, we developed approximately ten new websites annually, each with its own audience and focus.

Our History: From Topboss Media to an International Network

Heather and Andy established Topboss Media in South Africa in 1999 as a partnership. The venture started with one website and expanded into a network of gambling-related publications. During a period of significant growth, the team developed around ten new websites each year.

In 2003, Topboss Limited was registered in New Zealand. This was an additional chapter in the business’s development, not the end of its South African history. The group has continued to work across both countries and with readers and partners worldwide.

Heather Gartland – Business Owner

Heather began her career in banking and held senior management positions in South Africa and New Zealand. Her background in management and finance informs her work across business operations, content oversight, editorial standards, marketing, accounting and client relationships. She also brings extensive experience in gambling content and digital publishing.

Andy – Business Strategy and Operations

After a senior career in the fire service, Andy moved into business ownership. He focuses on long-term strategy, operational standards, research, search engine optimisation and the sustainable development of the group.

Jan – IT Technical Manager

Jan has worked with the group for more than 14 years. He oversees technical infrastructure, website stability, security and uptime. His programming experience helps the group adapt its systems as technology develops.

Shaun – Design and Development

With more than a decade of web and graphic design experience, Shaun contributes to website presentation, usability and branding across the network. His work helps keep the group’s designs clear, functional and current.
