MadBookie's history, the PlayUp merger and support through NextBet
MadBookie no longer operates as a separate bookmaker. Its betting business became part of PlayUp. PlayUp customers later moved to NextBet. This page explains the brand history and where former customers can get help.
What Happened to MadBookie?
MadBookie was an Australian racing and sports bookmaker. It became part of the business acquired by PlayUp, alongside TopBetta, and was subsequently consolidated into the PlayUp sportsbook.
The relationship is important when looking up an old account. MadBookie, PlayUp and NextBet are names from different stages of that history. They should not be presented as three separate current bookmakers with separate welcome offers.

The Northern Territory regulator’s historical decision records PlayUp’s acquisition of the TopBetta and MadBookie betting platforms from 1 July 2018. PlayUp’s own January 2019 announcement records completion of the acquisition. Those dates describe different stages of the transaction.
Our Listing Has Been Updated
An earlier version of this page said we had suspended the group because we could not access the affiliate programme. That explanation is now outdated. Topboss Group has published current reviews of NextBet and Draftstars.
MadBookie remains a historical listing because it no longer trades independently. Removing the old partnership warning does not mean the MadBookie brand has reopened or that its former offers are available again.

If You Previously Had a MadBookie Account
If you used MadBookie before the consolidation, contact NextBet support with the email address used for your old account and any relevant account references. Support can check whether there is a matching legacy or migrated account.
The published migration notice confirms that PlayUp customers could use their existing PlayUp credentials on NextBet. It does not establish that every old MadBookie login will still work. Do not assume that an account unused for years remains accessible without checks.
The notice also says PlayUp balances, pending bets and account history were to transfer. Ask support to investigate your particular records if something appears to be missing.

Old Offers, Payment Details and Licences
Previous MadBookie bonus codes, Madlays promotions and product descriptions belong to the old brand. They are not current NextBet offers. This page does not advertise a MadBookie sign-up bonus or invite readers to open a new MadBookie account.
The Norfolk Island licence mentioned in older reviews is historical information about MadBookie. Current NextBet services are listed under Nextbet Pty Ltd and the Northern Territory Racing and Wagering Commission.
