In 1979 they bought the United Coin Machine Company, and then later merged with Omega Enterprises. Then in 1988, the name changed to United Coin.
In 1996 they merged with Alliance Gaming Corporation.
The company became known officially as Bally Technologies in 2006.
They were acquired by Scientific Games In 2014.
